The Global Partnership for Good Agricultural Practices has appointed Flavio Alzueta as Global Communications and Marketing Manager.
The move aims at  strengthening  its global communication and marketing team  to improve relationships with producers, retailers and food service buyers around the world.   More than 110,000 producers in some 100 countries are Global  certified.
Kristian Moeller, Secretary GlobalGap said Flavio brings a wealth of expertise and experience into this role which will reach out to new and existing members to assist them in meeting the challenges in the global marketplace.
Flavio Alzueta, an Argentinean national has worked in the fresh  produce industry for seven years in sales and marketing positions most recently for a leading Spanish Co-operative based in Almeria. Educated at Buenos Aires University he holds a business law degree and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid having completed studies at Harvard and China European International Business School in Shanghai. Whilst working in Almeria he developed close business contacts with growers and major retail buyers. Flavio’s understanding of the challenges facing both growers and retailers in meeting consumers requirements will prepare him well for this new role.
