United Selections, a flower breeder specialising in new varieties for the horticultural industry, recorded strong interest from growers and clients during Naivasha HortiFair 2026, with its latest rose introductions generating orders and trial requests.

The breeder showcased its flower assortment during the September 18–19 horticultural exhibition, engaging growers and clients at its stand at Naivasha Sports Club and at its showhouse at Nini Farm.

According to United Selections, the response remained strong throughout the event, providing an opportunity to present new varieties, meet existing clients and partners, and gather direct feedback from growers.

The strong response translated into orders and trial requests, marking an important step for United Selections as it works to bring new flower varieties to the market. For a breeder, direct interaction with growers provides an important opportunity to assess market response and receive feedback on new genetics before wider commercial adoption.

United Selections also presented chrysanthemums from its partner, Icon Selections, and Alstroemeria from Könst Alstroemeria at its stand.

Celebrating Kenya through flowers

United Selections also used its stand to celebrate Kenyan culture, creatively displaying its roses around a Kenyan cultural theme. The display not only celebrated the country but also recognised the teams behind flower production and the work they undertake every day. For United Selections, however, Naivasha HortiFair was about more than showcasing flowers.

The breeder sees the event as an opportunity to meet growers, listen to their feedback and introduce new varieties to the market.
