OCP Group and IFC Join Forces to Drive Agri-Finance for Sustainable Food Production in Africa

OCP Group, a key player in the agricultural sector, has partnered with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to unveil an agri-finance platform aimed at bolstering sustainable food production across the African continent.

With agriculture accounting for a substantial 20% of Africa’s GDP and providing employment to more than 60% of the population, OCP Group recognizes the pivotal role this sector plays in the continent’s economic and social landscape.

The partnership’s mission is clear: to fortify 30 agricultural chains throughout Africa by structuring an impressive 60 agri-finance operations, collectively valued at up to US$800 million, all to be achieved by the year 2030.

This ambitious endeavor reflects the commitment of OCP Group and IFC to facilitate the development of sustainable agriculture in Africa, thereby addressing the critical food security and economic growth challenges facing the continent
