National Potato Council of Kenya holds second conference

The National Potato Council of Kenya (NPCK) is convening the second National Potato Conference and Trade Fair from May 24-25 2017 at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO-HQ) Loresho, Nairobi.

Top issues, facing the potato industry and the progress made in the sector will be discussed. The event will provide a great opportunity for actors and players to network through plenary, matchmaking, exhibitions and evening networking sessions. The exhibition will start on May 24, at 2pm while the main event which includes the plenary sessions, facilitated discussions and exhibitions will take place on May 25, starting at 8am.

Over 1,000 participants drawn from all potato-growing counties are expected. They will include large and small scale seed and ware potato farmers, traders, processors, , inputs providers, finance and insurance companies, knowledge and research institutions, agricultural machinery companies, regulators, national and county government representatives in agriculture and industrialization.

Business opportunities in the potato subsector will be highlighted for entrepreneurs to explore.
