Bioline celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Naivasha HortiFair, bringing its quarter-century journey in biological crop protection to one of Kenya’s major horticultural industry gatherings.
The anniversary celebration brought together Bioline’s customers, growers, partners and horticultural industry stakeholders at the HortiFair, providing an opportunity to reflect on the company’s 25 years of innovation and its contribution to biological crop protection.

Bioline’s journey is rooted in Dudutech, which began in Kenya in 2001 with a focus on developing biological solutions to pest challenges. Over the years, the business has built expertise in producing and deploying living organisms at commercial scale, addressing challenges including Diamond Back Moth, Root Knot Nematodes and Red Spider Mites.
The company has become closely associated with Kenya’s flower industry, working with a large proportion of the country’s flower growers. More than 1,000 out-growers have also been incorporated into high-standard production and traceability systems.

The 25-year journey has seen Dudutech become part of Bioline Agrosciences, linking its Kenyan production and field expertise with global research and development.
The anniversary celebration at Naivasha also highlighted Bioline’s continuing focus on the future of biological crop protection, including the use of sensors, scouting data and analytics to help growers detect pest pressure earlier and apply biological solutions more precisely.

Bioline is also marking the anniversary by sharing its story with the horticultural industry. The company has published its 25th-anniversary story with HortiNews, looking back at its journey, the growers it has worked with and the development of biological crop protection over the past quarter century.

As Bioline celebrated at Naivasha, its anniversary message looked both backwards and forwards — recognising 25 years of partnership and progress while emphasising that the next chapter of biological crop protection is already underway.
