The National Farmer Awards 2023 will be relaunched on 17th February 2023 in Nairobi after a brief hiatus due to the outbreak of Covid-19.
The winners in selected nine categories drawn from participants cutting across all the 47 counties are feted at the Nairobi International Show by the President and a gala dinner.
The annual National Farmers Awards was started in 2013 as a Public Private Partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture and Elgon Kenya Ltd. The partnership aimed at up-scaling the former Presidential Farmers’ Competition Award Scheme (PFCAS) through promotion of agribusiness and encouraging participation and adoption of commercial farming as a choice career.
